General information

CERM/CIRMMP offers a collection of state-of-the-art NMR instrumentation to perform, at the highest level, structural biology studies: 400 MHz, 500 MHz, 2x 600 MHz, 2 x 700 MHz, 800 MHz,
900 MHz and 950 MHz spectrometers for solution NMR, 700 MHz and 850 MHz for solid-state NMR and a Fast Field Cycling Relaxometer.  
CERM/CIRMMP offers as well computational facilities for advanced structural calculations and analysis. CERM/CIRMMP makes accessible also all its broad range of tools for biomolecule biophysical characterization. The services provided include project planning, sample preparation, collection and analysis of NMR data, and structure calulations. 

 

Expertise

CIRMMP offers its technological and scientific expertise to support users in developing NMR-based approaches specifically developed to reach user's goals, and provide to the users their long-term expertise in producing NMR samples requiring isotopically enriched expression media with 13C, 15N and 2H sources. The specific expertise of the center includes high-resolution NMR of proteins, with special skills on metalloproteins, for i) solution structure determination of biomolecules and of their complexes, ii) investigation of protein-drug interactions, iii) methodological advancements exploiting the special properties of large and/or paramagnetic biomolecules and iv) study of immobilized macromolecules.

Access modalities

On-site; user performs experiment (supported by staff).
Alternatively, the user can just deliver samples to the facility to run NMR experiments

 

Scientific and technical requirements

The experiments planned  by the user must be technically feasible. Sufficient capacity of staff and needed equipment in the planned visit period are a prerequisite. Basic preliminary NMR spectra are usually required to evaluate the project feasibility. Sample stability is also a required check point to access the service.
